Video games are not always negative. There are few positive sides as well :
* In some real life situations quick decision is a must. In video games a character is required to take a quick decision especially in war games or simulation games such as flight simulation, car simulation etc.
* Learning the art - yes child gets some idea of handling a car or cycle or yaching or aeroplane. (thanks to simulation games)
* knowledge - certain games especially games based on knowledge can infact increase the knowledge of child as it acts as an education aid.
* Strategy - yes playing games related to business, strategy, shares - can infact insight his/her knowledge into that direction
* Brain - some scientist say that playing games like chess is good for child's brain development.
* Team work- some of the games are multiplayer based - which is good for better team work.
* Games relates verbal information to both visual images and actions
* Games reward exploration, nonlinear thinking, and rethinking goals from time to time
* Games allow a sense of control and flexibility, that is sometimes absent in real life
* Enjoyment - happiness - yes, its one of the reason to smile and enjoy
